Vision boards help create success and are a ton of fun to put together!
Chances are, you know where this is going. Maybe you have a vision board of your own, or you’ve heard enough about them that you’ve decided to finally make your first. Mine has done so much to change my life that I can’t help myself. I want to talk about vision boards today.
Just in case you haven’t heard about them, let’s briefly rewind. The idea of a vision board is to find visual representations of all your most cherished dreams, and place them together on a board where you can see them prominently. Some people like to make their boards artistic, and they collage a number of images and text together like a work of art. Others keep their boards simple, choosing to neatly pin a number of images with simple pins.
How does it work? By putting a visual reminder where you will see it, unconsciously and consciously, all the time, you keep your goals foremost in your mind. And you become what you think about. Your dreams manifest themselves—because every day, you are working towards their reality, whether you realize it or not. Just seeing them is more of a reminder than perhaps we understand.

Vision boards help create success and are a ton of fun to put together!
Chances are, you know where this is going. Maybe you
have a vision board of your own, or you’ve heard enough
about them that you’ve decided to finally make your first.
Mine has done so much to change my life that I can’t help
myself. I want to talk about vision boards today.
Just in case you haven’t heard about them, let’s briefly
rewind. The idea of a vision board is to find visual
representations of all your most cherished dreams, and
place them together on a board where you can see them
prominently. Some people like to make their boards
artistic, and they collage a number of images and text together like a work of art. Others keep
their boards simple, choosing to neatly pin a number of images with simple pins.
How does it work? By putting a visual reminder where you will see it, unconsciously and
consciously, all the time, you keep your goals foremost in your mind. And you become what you
think about. Your dreams manifest themselves—because every day, you are working towards
their reality, whether you realize it or not. Just seeing them is more of a reminder than perhaps we
understand.
Our brains literally build themselves. Patterns of thought, every day routines, the knowledge and
garbage we feed our minds—this is the stuff our brains are made of. You have tremendous
control over your intelligence, your mood, and your ability to achieve. This in itself is such a gift.
It’s easy to forget, of course, since for your entire life you have had this magnificent machine
working for you. Almost all of us take our minds for granted. Maybe you pop a fish oil capsule
now and again, or do a few puzzles-but do you actively try to route your brain so that it will
become, really and truly, the stuff of your dreams?
Our minds are the vehicles of dreams. Use it. Make a vision board. You probably have a few
clippings lying around, in a desk drawer or maybe even on the refrigerator—organize them and
place them together somewhere you’ll be sure to see them every day. Bedrooms and offices are
popular places. You could also make a collage on your coat hook by your front door, or even put a
tiny vision board in your wallet. This is a particularly good idea if you need help sticking to your
budget! Put a small laminated clipping of your ultimate goals in your wallet. Then, every time you
open it up, you’ll be reminded—does this purchase go towards my ultimate goal?

Vision boards are also an inexpensive gift for a loved one. Chances are you know most of their
cherished dreams. You can purchase a corkboard or even a binder for very little. Arrange their
clippings neatly with rubber cement, and maybe cut out a few words from magazines and
newspapers for a bit of spice. You can also use stickers, confetti, crayolas-whatever you like.
There are no rules!
If you have a vision board or are thinking about making one, I’d love to know about it. Please
writ e t o me and t ell me what images are dearest t o your heart . Had success wit h yours?
