2. Why the costume is so important
Firstly, the attire in which the artist wears
will pretty much give the viewer an idea
of what kind of genre this music video
could be. For example, if someone is
wearing a fitted cap and gold chains with
baggy jeans, the first thing you’d suggest
is that this is a Hip-hop music video.
Same with Rock, if someone is wearing
very dark clothing with metal chains
around the torso, you’d suggest this is a
rock music video.
3. What genre we are trying to
represent
The song is a very mellow and romantic
song so I think its important we add the
casual/smart look into this video and
nothing to shabby. The artist who
actually takes this song is a rapper and
he does rap in this song so its important
we also have some sort of ‘urban’ style in
this video and that’s exactly what we
tried to portray. The singer on the hook
would preferably be wearing
smart/casual clothing because he is the
one who sings and adds that soft touch
to the song.
