2. What can I infer from a characters
costume?
The purpose of a costume is to create a
representation of a character. Costumes are
used to give the audience an idea of who the
character is and maybe where he has come
from.
3. What do these
Characters
costumes tell me
about them?
By looking at this characters costume I can infer that the designer has clearly tried
to make his costume as bright and colourful as possible, this child friendly
costume is then contradicted by the clowns menacing face. I fell that he has made
the costume like this because a clown is usually a character who is not presented
as being scary figure, but in this case he is.
4. By looking at Jason’s
costume I can infer that
he is a person who does
not care about their
appearance. As you can
see, his coat and jumper
are both riddled with
holes and are falling to
bits.
Another part of
Jason’s costume
that stands out
to me is the mask
he is waring. This
represents Jason
as being
someone who
does not want his
identity to be
revealed, He
wants to be
concealed as only
his eyes are
shown through
the mask.
5. When analysis this
costume I can
learn that this
mask is purposely
made to look like a
skeleton, this then
gives of the effect
of death as a
skeleton is a
representation of
death. This would
then tell the
audience that this
film will contain a
lot of murders and
deaths.
The black robe that this
character is wearing
also tells me that he
wants to be
inconspicuous, he does
not want to be seen
when he is looking for
people to kill.
