IBM Software Group | Tivoli softwareMaximo for Utilities CU Library Details  Provide Designers and Engineers with a standards-based means to estimate labor, materials, services and tools to complete construction work.  Capture costs of doing that work and the proper accounting.  Filter concept supports the variables associated with site conditions.  Supports 10 levels of parent child relationships.  Recommended best practice is to align the top level CU’s with the organizations construction standards.  There can be one to many relationships among CUs  Each CU is version controlled and only one version can be active at a time © 2012 IBM Corporation 9

This is a Level 3 Framed Pole distribution example. A substation w/Tx example might use 5 levels. IBM Software Group | Tivoli softwareMaximo for Utilities CU Estimate Details Provides foundation for the initiation, planning, scheduling, execution, and close of construction work in a transmission and distribution environment.  Standards based estimating.  Can perform many estimate versions for each project and compare costs.  Provide audit capability for regulators to document how costs were estimated.  Support template estimates and the ability to perform high level estimates.  Supports configuration for accounting, overhead costs, site conditions, travel time, customer contribution, use of outside contractors,  Automatically creates bill of materials.  Accurately estimates crew type or craft labor hours required to perform work.  Supports as-built estimates to be performed after work is complete.  The Work Order structure is generated from the CU Estimate  Version Status: Estimated  Quoted  Accepted  Work Order © 2012 IBM Corporation 12

Different versions can be created to Overhead Overhead compare costs of different designs . Internal Underground Resources Contractor The filters facilitate copying an estimate and re-estimating with different site conditions (such as rock trenching ). Stations or design points are locations Pole 1 Pole 2 Pole 3 where work is performed. These Maximo Loc’n Maximo Loc’n Maximo Loc’n points can be associated to a Maximo location. Compatible units are the basic estimating units which contain the Compatible Compatible Unit 1 Unit 2 labor, material and tool requirements.
