There are many emerging areas of the BTC healthcare industry and many companies are just trying to get established. It will take some time to get these business models off the ground.
Here we can see collaboration and cooperation in two areas. The first is between the mobile health companies and the medical device manufactures. We foresee devices that can be managed on the go and remotely. The other area is between telemedicine and EHR/PHR companies. Both oth these are likely to converge given the emerging technological capabilities and nascent stage of each of the areas.
As these collaborations continue in the future, we see many of the mobile health companies being acquired by the large established device manufactures to have greater and proprietary access to the technology they were sharing. On the other side we see more joint ventures, partnership, and knowledge sharing because the large players in this space do not have the technical expertise in healthcare to go it alone.
