Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) allows visualization of the oral cavity and the surrounding area in not only individual slices but also in three-dimension. This allows better understanding of anatomy and any pathological lesion present in the area. CBCT emits small amount of radiation which is absorbed by thyroid tissue due to its proximity to oral cavity. This research dwelve deeper into the relationship between radiation emitted during CBCT scan and the dose absorbed by thyroid.
