 ANALYZE UR REFLECTION!
What we say is less important than how we say it. In order to hold the attention of others and build connection and trust, we
need to be aware of and in control of our nonverbal cues. The following 3 methods help one to observe and analyze these:

VIDEO CLIP: Videotape a conversation between you and a pseudo-customer. Record this conversation and study the verbal
and non-verbal communication focusing on discrepancies.
CLICK IT: Ask someone to take a series of photos of you while you’re talking to someone else. As you look through the photos,
focus on you and the other person’s body language, facial expressions and gestures.
TAPE IT: Record a conversation between you and a friend. When you listen to the recording, concentrate on the way things are
said, rather than the words. Pay attention to the tone, timing, pace and other sounds.
IS OUR FOOD SAFE?! - NEW GUIDELINES FOR MCT
Microbiological challenge testing is the laboratory simulation of what can happen microbiologically to a
product during distribution and subsequent handling if it were to be contaminated with a microorganism. The
use of challenge testing to assess product safety and stability has increased over the past few years, particu-
larly with respect to Clostridium botulinum and Listeria monocytogenes, where evidence is required to demon-
strate that there is minimal potential for growth of these organisms throughout shelf-life.

New guidance from Campden BRI will help companies to adopt a standardised approach to determine if
microorganisms of significance could grow in their products, and thus affect shelf-life. This guideline Challenge
testing protocols for assessing the safety and quality of food and drink (Guideline 63) contains the necessary
information for companies wishing to follow a standardised protocol for challenge testing their food products.

PROBIOSYS AT BANGALORE BIO
Probiosys participated in the 10th edition of Bangalore Bio held from 2nd-4th June,
2010 at Hotel Lalit Ashok, Bangalore. The beautiful Probiosys stall drew visitors in
large numbers. The unique quiz conducted in the stall on all 3 days saw students and
business visitors participating with great enthusiasm .Over 300 visitors enquired about
Probiosys and Automed services during the entire event.

Shyam, Tapti and Pawan patiently answered all the queries during these 3 days at
the event. Dr. Sridhar, Zakiya and Cyril enriched their knowledge by attending vari-
ous conferences. The main aim of our participation was to show the world that we
have arrived and I believe we achieved that as the biotech world took notice of
Probiosys. - Sourabh

9 EFFECTIVE WAYS TO RESOLVE CONFLICT..
Relationship conflicts are inevitable and hence learning to deal with them in a healthy way is
crucial. Conflict arises when people disagree over their values, motivations, perceptions, ideas
or desires. When conflict is resolved effectively, stronger mutual respect and a renewed faith
in their ability to work together is developed. But managing and resolving conflict requires
emotional maturity, self-control and empathy. It can be tricky, frustrating and even frightening.
You can ensure that the process is as positive as possible by sticking to the following conflict
resolution guidelines:

KRS… The name says it all!
“He has been the turn to person whenever I have had a mission, problem or just want to let steam. When the history
of Automed is written, His contribution will be higher than even the founders as he is the one who made the dream
come true with his hard work and sincere efforts. His biggest strength is staying calm, His patience and ability to
build lasting relationships with clients. If I depend on someone completely, it’s Sheshadri. Automed needs more peo-
ple like him. On a personal note, I know him from 1987, college days; He is a great friend, a dependable relative
and a humble and sincere person. I must also not forget to thank his wife Sunitha for so tirelessly supporting me
and Automed , whenever I asked him to move, she did it smilingly undergoing the hardships of transfer of
houses, school, uprooting friends. I can’t thank this couple enough.” – Bhanu Prakash (Managing Director)

“I call him our man Friday. He is one person who has selflessly come forward to do a task. He is one person I can turn to for help on any situa-
tion. One who has seen the harshest of times and the best of times with Automed. Thank you Sheshadri for all you have done.” – Saji Kumar
 (Director)

“One of the Pillar and foundation of the Hyderabad Branch.” - Diwakar B

KR Sheshadri is happily married to Sunita and blessed with two daughters Anagha & Apoorva.
His favorite holiday spot is Goa. He enjoys reading books by Osho and Bchi.
As a kid he aspired to become a cricketer.
His role model in life is his Uncle. His most treasured possession is a bag given by his uncle (this bag was a gift his uncle received from Vijay
 mallya)
His pride is his family and Automed!

 Jargon Busting
“Look at these sales figures! – you can’t put lipstick on a
pig. If we continue this strategic partnering paradigm we
might as well be milking a mouse. We’ve got to cut bait
and return to our archetype of using customer-oriented
discretionary values to make product reengineering deci-
 sions.”
If your head is spinning after reading that, you’re not
alone. The culprit is jargon: The use of specialized terms,
idioms, expressions, acronyms and abbreviations that are
understandable to only a select group of people. This
section will henceforth serve as jargon busting space.
 Watch out!

                                                                      Brain Munchies!

LETS TREK BUDDY! KUDREMUKHA
Kudremukha is one of the most beautiful peak in Karnataka and in Western Ghats as well. It
has a very rich biodiversity and home to certain species of wildlife which is no where else found
on this planet.
Samse is a few kilometers from kudremukh town, from where the trek starts. In about 4-5 hrs
average walking time [awt], one reaches lobo mane, an old house. From lobo mane, another
path goes up to the "summit", which would take 3-4 hours awt to reach.

What we say is less important than how we say it. In order to hold the attention of others and build connection and trust, we need to be aware of and in control of our nonverbal cues. The following 3 methods help one to observe and analyze these: VIDEO CLIP: Videotape a conversation between you and a pseudo-customer. Record this conversation and study the verbal and non-verbal communication focusing on discrepancies. CLICK IT: Ask someone to take a series of photos of you while you’re talking to someone else. As you look through the photos, focus on you and the other person’s body language, facial expressions and gestures. TAPE IT: Record a conversation between you and a friend. When you listen to the recording, concentrate on the way things are said, rather than the words. Pay attention to the tone, timing, pace and other sounds.
  • 2. IS OUR FOOD SAFE?! - NEW GUIDELINES FOR MCT Microbiological challenge testing is the laboratory simulation of what can happen microbiologically to a product during distribution and subsequent handling if it were to be contaminated with a microorganism. The use of challenge testing to assess product safety and stability has increased over the past few years, particu- larly with respect to Clostridium botulinum and Listeria monocytogenes, where evidence is required to demon- strate that there is minimal potential for growth of these organisms throughout shelf-life. New guidance from Campden BRI will help companies to adopt a standardised approach to determine if microorganisms of significance could grow in their products, and thus affect shelf-life. This guideline Challenge testing protocols for assessing the safety and quality of food and drink (Guideline 63) contains the necessary information for companies wishing to follow a standardised protocol for challenge testing their food products. - Zakiya WONDER LA It was 8th April, the last day of our Annual conference.
