4. WEATHER
Gran Canaria enjoys a spring-like climate throughout the year, with average
temperatures of between 26 and 28°C in summer and between 22 and 24°C in
winter.
The mountainous terrain creates a certain amount of regional variation, with
cooler and wetter weather in the northeast. These diverse microclimates usually
vary by only a few degrees, however.
In summer, the temperatures can sometimes exceed 30°C, and rainfall is
incredibly rare during the season. July, August and September tend to be
completely free of rain.
