2. My project
◦ I decided to inform my psychogeographical projects mapping mood, atmosphere and
memories associated with Melton Mowbray
◦ I recorded these mediums in the form of a written poem and edited film
◦ I affirmed the senses created via certain locations with editing tools, such as cross fades
and slow-fast paced editing
◦ I used the randomly algorithmic method of a “Choosing Star” as seen in the videos.
◦ I say videos, as I have chosen to cover the parallel moods with two persons: One who
associates positive memories with Melton and one who associated negative memories
with Melton.
◦ This resulted in one video using many elements of the macabre, therefore upholding
the ideas of disliking the place, and one video showing more positive aspects of a
place.
