My education, training and work experience includes biology, systematics & classification; cognitive science; applied computing: systems analysis, object oriented design and engineering; human factors & HCI/user interface design & evaluation; information & knowledge modelling; problem-based learning; project design & management. My interests are in enabling users to harness computing to model, visualise and communicate information: to closely couple thinking, creation, and the organisation, management, sharing & communication of digital stuff; employing "Good Enough Tech'. And trees and saxifrage. And music and playing the saxophone.
