Greek baptism with a strawberry theme
1.
2. The following pictures are from my daughterâs baptism. Being that red is one of
my favorite colors, I decided to use this color as the basis for her strawberry
based theme.
For the invitations, I used three paperclip strawberries, each one being slightly
larger than the other. The largest strawberry had the invitation written in
Greek, the middle sized one had the church and banquet details and the
smallest strawberry had the invitation spelled out in English. All three
strawberries were elegantly combined into one larger strawberry via a green
ribbon.
3. The baptism candle
included white and red
tulle along with a few
little strawberry
ornaments at the very
top.
4. I used the same supplies
to decorate the oil bottle
that is used during the
holy mystery of the
baptism.
5. The handmade
baptismal dress and
undergarment had little
flowers and lace
details. Both clothing
pieces looked absolutely
stunning and elegant!
6. For the reception, I created centerpieces, which consisted of a
strawberry shaped pitcher with white tree branches sticking out of the
pitcher. At the edge of each branch I placed strawberry shaped
chocolate lollipops.
7. For the baptism favors, I
used strawberry shaped
pouches that included 3
white Jordan almonds
and 2 red chocolate
Jordan almonds.
8. Instead of your typical
place cards, I decided to
use the strawberry fork
sets that you see in the
picture below. I created
little place cards with the
guestâs name and table
number, which I hanged
on the forks with the use
of a white ribbon.
9. The dessert buffet, along
with the cake, added the
final touch to my
daughterâs Greek
inspired strawberry
theme. I also provided
strawberry shaped
cookies with adequate
red and green details
that were a great hit with
all the toddlers in the
room!
