A major scam involving Britain's top health advisory body shows that a
guideline released last week which claimed that ecigarettes were safe
was actually funded by the e-cigarette industry .Areview initiated by
Public Health England had concluded that e-cigarettes have the
potential to help smokers quit smoking and is 95% less harmful than
tobacco.
UK journal Lancet has revealed that three of the 11 authors of the
study were paid advisors of e-cigarette industry. It siad the opinions
were given by individuals with no pre-specified expertise in tobacco
control and were based on total absence of evidence of harm.
