1. Remy hair does not directly mean virgin hair. Some people use these two words synonymously when in fact they are two different things. Virgin hair refers to completely unprocessed human hair while Remy hair is virgin hair that is handled and kept root-to-tip. Root-to-tip means that the cuticle is held intact because it lays in the same direction from the time the hair is collected from the donor. It is safe to say that remy hair is a type of virgin hair collected directly and intact from the donor so that the cuticles face the same direction, like when hair has been cut while held in a ponytail.
2. Virgin hair VS Remy Quality Virgin Hair. Note that there are several hair extensions made of virgin hair but not of remy quality virgin hair. The hair strands that fall to the floor when unprocessed human hair is cut may be collected and labeled as virgin hair as well, but again, not remy quality virgin hair.
