This document proposes several ideas for recycling and reusing bread. It suggests collecting bread crumbs from bakeries and restaurants to use as bird feed or distribute in public areas. It also recommends adding plates under toasters to collect crumbs and installing bread recycling bins in schools and public places. Additionally, it describes redesigning bread for uses like stuffed French bread, hollowed-out cupcakes filled with ingredients, and edible bread cups for soup. The overall goal is to find new ways to reduce food waste and help the environment.
2. Birds food:
◦ We can collect the bread crumbs, and sell it as birds
food, or to spread it in city plazas or any public
area to attract birds.
3. Bakery
◦ they could provide the expired, burnt or the
crumbs during the baking process.
4. Restaurants
◦ Left over of meals, instead of throwing the bread
we can turn it into birds food.
5. Toasters redesign:
◦ This will allow all households to collect it and use it
for themselves. By adding a plate under the toaster
we can collect easily.
6. Bread recycle!:
◦ We can add recycle bins next to trash or recycle
bins in public areas. We can go a further step by
doing the same in kindergarten, or elementary
schools and teach them the benefits of recycling
it, this could open a new window for them to
recycle even more daily products! And save the
world.
7. Bread redesign!:
◦ We can take a French bread and take off the bread
from within. Then all we have to do is to staff it
with all we want! We will save the time of cutting
the bread, and we will not be worried of cutting
fingers in making a sandwich.
8. New cup cakes:
◦ Baking a cup cake that is empty from the inside, all
we have to do is take a spoon of what we want and
fill it, cool idea for parties! A good snake for kids
too.
9. Bread cups:
◦ We can create a cup that is made of bread. Pour
your soup drink it and eat your bread cup! To make
the bread stand the heat of the soup for a while
before it melts we can cover the inside by chocolate
or sugar to harden it.
