The pupils at Kolding Friskole participate annually in collecting waste in their local area to promote active citizenship. This year they joined with "Dansk Naturfredningsforening" to collect litter, finding 80 kg of garbage such as broken glass, bottles, cans, plastic and a car tire in the forest and by the road. In 2015, schools, kindergartens and citizens across Denmark collected 132 tons of garbage and 120,000 cans through similar collection events.
