1. Background and Adjudication
Workflow
1. Candidate offer and start date is determined and sent to Recruiting Coordinator to prepare and initiate. 2
weeks lead time is preferred for ample time for a Background check to be performed.
2. RC sends an email to the candidate with links to initiate the background check and create a candidate portal as
well as sign the disclosure forms. Please NOTE: Background check itself does not begin UNTIL candidate
initiates the process via the invite.
3. Once a candidate initiates their background they will receive a separate email with a link and instructions to
take their scheduled drug test.
4. Candidate will initially have 5 days to complete the standard 10 panel testing and they are able to test
ANYWHERE regardless of where initially ordered. There should be very few reasons they are unable to take a
test within the allotted time. (Exception: We are unable to test internationally.)
5. Drug Screen results generally take 72 hours to process.
6. The Wednesday prior to the week before a candidate scheduled start date: If no adjudication is needed for a
candidate, the RC will clear the candidate to start. If adjudication is needed RC will begin adjudication
process/workflow and will provide updates to HRBP/Head of Recruitment and recruitment. RC will resend drug
testing, reach out for additional information from the candidate such as W2/paystub/degree confirmation etc.
and take action as needed.
7. Thursday prior to the candidate start date and depending on Adjudication Guideline results, RC to make
recommendation to HRBP based on findings.
8. HRBP to make final hire/no hire decision (with input from Head of Recruiting as necessary).
9. Adverse Action process to begin if offer is rescinded and process is needed.
10. Decision is communicated to business/candidate by HRBP.
