The Cantabrian brown bear population lives in the Cantabrian Mountains of Spain. Females typically weigh 85 kg but can reach 150 kg, while males average 115 kg and can weigh up to 200 kg. The bear measures between 1.6-2m in length and 0.9-1m tall at the shoulder. Cantabrian brown bears can live for 25-30 years in the wild. A strong flood hit several streets in Portugalete, Amorebieta, Gernika and Getxo in Spain on Tuesday. The flood water entered garages and some building entrances. Cantabrian brown bear refers to a population of Eurasian brown bears (Ursus
arctos arctos) living in the Cantabrian Mountains of Spain. Females weigh, on
average, 85 kg but can reach a weight of 150 kg. Males average 115 kg though
can weigh as much as 200 kg. The bear measures between 1.6 – 2m in length
and between 0.90 -1m at shoulder height.
The Cantabrian brown bear can live for around 25–30 years in the wild.

2. Floods
A strong flood of water hit on Tuesday several streets of Portugalete, Amorebieta,
Gernika and Getxo. The flood got into garages,and some portals. This was a
heavy day for all the population.
According to the Municipal Police of Gernika, about three in the afternoon a strong
storm caused, in a short time, some of the main streets of the municipality were
flooded. Lot of people couldn’t go out because of the water. There were none
deads, so it wasnt so bad.. but it was very scary!
