 The Bauer Media Group is a German company which has been running over 138 years (1875),
which has around 8,700 employees at 15 locations in Europe, the US, Asia entertain and
informs millions of people a day.
 Bauer Media Group publishes 46 Magazines in Germany and is the market leader inTV
guides. Bauer Media Group is also a market leader in woman’s weekly magazines.
“BRAVO”, the largest youth magazine in Europe which dominates the youth magazine
market in Germany.
 Part of Bauer Media Group, H Bauer entered the UK scene with “Bella” magazine in 1987.
The company gain attention again in 1990 with the launch of the “Take a Break” magazine.
 Take a Break magazine has maintained its No.1 status, currently selling approximately
800,000 copies a week.
 The 1990’s saw H Bauer further strengthen its portfolio with the launch of TVQuick in 1991,
that’s life! In 1995 andTVChoice in 1999.Together with twenty three successful puzzle titles.
 H Bauer always had a major presence in the UK magazine market.
 At the start of 2008, H Bauer expanded its portfolio further by acquiring Emap’s radio and
Consumer magazines divisions and changed the name of these new UK businesses to Bauer
Media.
 With the latest addition of former Emap purchaser Media titles, Bauer is now the largest
consumer magazine publishing company in the UK, playing a role in theWomen’sWeeklies,
Women’s Interest,Women’s Lifestyle,TV Listings, Puzzles, Men’s Lifestyle, Music & Film
and Specialist magazine markets.
 Bauer Media is a sister company of H Bauer Publishing, publisher of the UK's biggestTV
listings,Take a Break and Bella.
