2. This is our magazine: These are the people who (we hope) would be
willing to spend hard-earned pocket money on it:
Our music magazine is aimed at teenagers – kids
aged 14 -18 – who follow new, popular artists
and music.
3. My magazine represents a range
of genres, focusing mainly on The most popular genre of music
that our target audience are
Pop interested in are rock, pop and
indie. These are the genres we will
cover because following the idea
that 'genre is dead' as said by
Bauer, my research confirms that
Rock 'as access to music has become
more universal for even less
fanatical musical listeners, music
consumption is less stringently
defined by genres as consumers

most popular amongst them.
4. 20 males and females aged 14 –
18 to completed a questionnaire. I
was unsure which colours to use
because I wanted to appeal to
both genders so the questionnaire
asked the target audience which
they preffered. The colours which
were initially thought of, purple
green and white, were
popular, with purple being
popular with females and green
being popular with males. We
have decided to use white as a
neutral background colour and
hints of green and purple so that
there isn't too much of one or the
other and there is a fair balance.
