1. The Green Roof
The green roof is a very interesting feature of the building in order to implement
in the town because it acts as a park, which promotes a healthy lifestyle. The
interaction between the park and the building also shows a balance between the
natural and built environment. The Green Roof not only helps with the city scape
but it also cools down the area and provides good insulation.
Rainwater is collected from the roof via guttering and down-sprouts flowing
down through underground pipe and is then passed through a filter before
entering the storage tank. The installation of an underground tank The filter will
remove any leaves or larger particles from the rainwater and purifies through
another system before it is delivered into the tank for the usage of the residents.
This helps to improve the quality of the water being stored in the tank. Before
the rainwater enters the tank, it passes through a calmed inlet device to prevent
any sediment from being disturbed and discolouring the main body of rainwater.
A submersible pump is installed inside the below ground rof the tank to pump
the clean water from the tank when it senses pressure due to someone turning
on a water tap.
