Mobile Scissor and Mobile
Boom IPAF Training Course
Static Vertical and Static
Boom IPAF Training Course
Key points for the following courses are:
• 1 day course
• Starts 8am - 4pm approx.
• Covers you for 5 years
• Single categories can be taken i.e. scissor, boom, static
vertical or static boom
• If single category is chosen you can train up to 6 people
per course
• If both category are chosen you can train up to 4 people
a course
• Successful trainees receive a PAL Card (Powered Access
Licence), a safety guide, a log book and a certificate
• When the card is due for re-newal we will contact you 3 months
prior and arrange a date for you to come and renew your pass

MEWP for Managers
AIM: To instruct a supervisor/manager what is required to
prepare for and safety
co-ordinate various types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms
(MEWPs) within their control.
OBJECTIVES: At the end of the course the candidate will:
• Be aware of the relevant Health and Safety regulations
• Be aware of accident prevention and control
• Be aware of the needs regarding personnel protection
• Be aware of the need to refer to the machine Operating Manual
• Be aware of the implications of a hire contract
• Be aware of the need for familiarisation

Key points for the following courses are:
• ½ day course
• Makes you aware of all key issues - health and safety issues of
wearing a harness and all working at height regulations
• Can be done as Kimberly Awareness Training or through IPAF
• Kimberly Awareness Training can train up to 15 people in
one session
• IPAF can train up to 10 people
• Successful applicants will be issued with a competent
persons certificate
• Safety harnesses can also be bought from Kimberly Access
