2. What we do
Robert Salmon, CEO of FootMindBody.com,
has been in the business of making people’s
feet feel better ever since he first heard the
words from his father, “When your feet hurt,
you hurt all over.” For the past 44 years Mr.

growing the family business. As a pharmacist
who has gained a vast knowledge base in
holistic approaches to medicine and health,
Mr. Salmon’s mission in life is to help others
achieve and maintain good health.

3. Our belief
Mr. Salmon believes in diet and exercise.
These are things we have control of and we
know will lead to a healthier, longer life and
staying active is the key. And one important
factor in staying active is having healthy,
comfortable feet.
4. Staying active
70% of us over 40 years of age have some
type of foot condition that slows us down
from time to time. From runners knee, heel
spurs, plantar fasciitis, neuropathy, arch pain,
arthritis, diabetes, Metatarsalgia, Morton’s
neuroma, over pronation and a host of other
issues can slow an active lifestyle.
5. Keeping your feet healthy
The goal is to keep our feet comfortable and
happy because we know that when our feet
are happy we are happy. So, we want to keep
creating those euphoric endorphins in our
brain through exercise and for that we need
comfortable, healthy feet.
6. The custom insole
15 years ago www.FootMindBody.com began
fabricating custom insoles that were designed
from the mold of a person’s foot. Today we
fabricate over 15,000 pair of custom insoles a
year. The new fad for custom insoles is taking
foot and plans to be here for a long, long time
and will only grow as news spreads and
newer more effective technologies emerge.
7. State-of-the-Art
New state-of-the-art technology (hardware
and software) has moved us closer to finding
better and more precise ways to fabricate
custom insoles that mate, support, stabilize
and comfort your feet while in motion. The
materials used in the process have also been
drastically improved over the past few years.
Let’s have a look at the latest process for
fabricating a truly custom orthotic.
8. Vulcanized materials
A customer will choose from a variety of
orthotics. They vary according to purpose,
i.e., standing, running, plantar fasciitis,
diabetics, etc. Each style employs different
variations of extremely durable vulcanized
materials in a tri-layered fashion. All insoles
come with an anti-microbial top cover that
helps keep your feet bacteria free and dry.

9. The foam impression box
Once your order is received, we will send you
our foam foot impressions box with simple
instructions to follow. Once your foot
impressions have been captured you will use
our pre-paid mailing label to send us back
those impressions.

10. 3-D AutoCAD design
Once we receive your foot impressions we
use a laser scanner that captures all the
detailed contours of each of your feet. From
there, one of our State Certified Pedorthists
uses 3-D AutoCAD software to begin
designing the custom insole for each of your
feet.

11. Freedom Milling machines
We use new Freedom milling machines to mill your
insoles from the final AutoCAD design. Each insole is
carefully inspected and sanded before the placement
of a top cover. What we now have are truly unique
insoles designed specifically for each of your feet. We
guarantee that you will love your insoles or we will
give you your money back!

12. Beware of pre-fabricated
You will pay more for custom insoles made in
the USA than you will for inserts sold off the
shelf. These pre-fabricated inserts are cheaper
because they use cheaper materials in the
process; they are made in China, will not be
as durable, offer no heel or arch support and
are cut from one mold for millions of feet.
Why bother.
13. Invest in the best
The best thing you can do for your feet is to
purchase a quality shoe/sneaker that is
comfortable for your feet. When you add a
custom insole that was designed with each of
your feet in mind, well, it does not get any
better than that. Remember, each foot is
unique and each insole will reflect that and
you WILL experience the difference.
