SXSW Eco 2015 workshop proposal presentation.
Today, global consumers demand more from companies and from their products and services. Not long ago, high quality and low-price would win consumers. Now, consumers expect a high-quality, reasonably priced product that is backed up by great service, measurable social impact, ethical/green production, and a long-term, net positive for the world. This forces entrepreneurs of all kinds to re-examine their business models to include an impact dimension.
In this highly interactive workshop, we will discuss why this environment requires a focus on both income and impact. We walk participants through some of the latest tools for sharpening vision, charting a course for making that vision a reality, and obtaining funding that mobilizes the success of your purpose while also growing a profitable enterprise. Participants will develop an initial blueprint that leverages traditional resources (people, cash and technology) AND social impact.
