GMACI.GMACI provides a broad range of insurance and insurance

Information Technology landscape of GMACI Personal Lines caters
to various business processes across the insurance value chain. It
is made up of set of home grown and off-the-shelf software
applications, mainly being maintained at St. Louis, MO and Winston
Salem, NC. The users of these applications are spread across the
globe- home office, call centers, claim offices, independent
agencies, external vendors etc.

telecom management firm of UK) has extensive usage of DB2
database on z/OS platform. The International business unit
operates integrated telecommunications companies in 33 countries

services to residential and business customers. The UK business
unit provides enterprise and carrier solutions to the largest users of
telecoms services across the UK, US, continental Europe and Asia,
and wholesale and residential broadband services in the UK
through Bulldog. The DB2 database availability and management is
quite critical to organizations business.
Contribution: Worked as a DBA and then moved to Module leader

Supply Optimizer
Project Description: D&B the leading provider of global business
information, tools, and insight, has enabled customers to Decide
with Confidence for over 160 years. Wipro was involved in
delivering Supply Optimizer Version 3.0 to D&B.
Supply Optimizer is a flagship product of our client Dun &
Bradstreet. Originally the product used Oracle and SQL Server as
the backend database. For one of the clients of D & B, we
enhanced the Supply Optimizer so that it can use DB2 for Z/OS as
a backend. The project involved 2 scenarios. First were the fresh
installation (when the client is a new customer) and the second
where the client already has the product running with SQL Server
as the backend and he wants to move the database from SQL
Server to DB2 for Z/OS.
Contribution: Worked as a DBA to Migrate SQL Server Database to
DB2 ZOS Database. Involved in all activities from designing to
testing. Implemented the database in mainframe in two different
locations. Was in frequent contact onsite IBM personnel’s for
implementation.
Due to constraints in availability of Mainframes environment and
complexity of the system, as an intermediate step we first created
the database and all objects including SP and Triggers in DB2 UDB
for LUW and after checking for syntactical and logical errors we
again converted them to DB2 for Z/OS. Involved in tuning the sub-
system level parameters to make the sub-system capable of
handling the application requirements.
