We recommended an OBIEE reporting solution that
moves HFM data to an Essbase cube through EAL.
The solution will:
• Provide near real-time access to HFM data
• Be subject to robust master data governance
enabled through EAL

+ Pulls data from HFM on schedule or on-demand
+ Becomes faster after the initial pull, but only brings
in snapshots
+ Able to pull upper level data
- Pulls near real-time data

• Change certain upper level members from Stored and Do Nothing (~) to Dynamic Calc Store and Addition (+)
• Change children/level0 members from Stored and Do Nothing (~) to Stored and Addition (+)
• First run may take long since upper levels are set to Dynamic Calc and Store. Work with report writers to determine
which upper level members should be set to Stored (as opposed to Dynamic Calc and Store)
• After the first data load and the cube restructure, run an aggregation calc.
