Swarm and Machine are individually very powerful projects, but when combined, they can work wonders. The project attempts to create a self-scaling cluster using Swarm and Machine. Here, to setup an AWS Docker Auto Scaling cluster, all you need is swarm, machine and Amazon API Keys.

Modified docker-machine to use a custom swarm image

Use swarm image to catch “No resources available…”
Spawn a new container running docker-machine on
swarm-master to provision and add a new ec2-host* to the
cluster
Try container creation once
Voilà!
*could work well for other hosts docker-machine supports
