Story: His Inspiring Coach
Kicked out of elementary gifted programme and in high school he realized he was playing too many
video games on the couch and not getting enough exercise (6’3’’- 220lbs).
So tried out for football but didn’t enjoy it and constantly reprimanded for staring into space. He
wasn’t going to continue, but credits high school coach, Todd Burnett for seeing the potential in him
and inspiring him to be his best.
Had him work out every day after school – gained 1lb every 3 days and then he began to enjoy the
game. First Canadian-born athlete to sign a football scholarship with the Tigers.
