The fund invests in companies with a proven technology, demonstrated market traction verified by sales revenue, scalability of the business model in direct proportion to the level of investment and future return on investments.

DFM ventures are establishing the LM Angels Fund for current and former Lockheed Martin employees
looking to diversify their investment portfolio in Energy, High Tech, and MedTech sectors.
The fund invests in companies with a proven technology, demonstrated market traction verified by sales
revenue, scalability of the business model in direct proportion to the level of investment and future
return on investments. Investment risk is mitigated by addressing the (5) funding risks, they are as
follows:
Management Risk:
Are there a solid executive management team (with proven track records) and a seasoned and
experienced advisory board in place to run the business post investment?
Financial Risk:
Is the company capable of achieving positive cash flow (EBITDA) pursuant to their current business
model and trajectory?
Market/Sales/Distribution Risk:
Have they identified a specific region, sector, segment, and market for their product / service or are the
product / service looking for a market? What are the market “barriers to entry” and can they be
overcome with a strategic investment?
Technology Risk:
Is the product / service “First to Market” or competing in a “Crowded Space”? Is the technology proven,
scalable and capable of deploying to global markets?
Syndication Risk:
Are the founders and or current investors capable of supporting the company if you do not meet key
funding milestone deliverables?
