3. General setup information
Before starting E-mail setup process, please find out specifications of your E-mail account.
The specifications of your e-mail account will be given to you by hosting provider that is Bold Endeavours.
There are two types of servers:
1. Incoming E-mail server
2. Outgoing E-mail server
For incoming E-mail server you will need to know:
1) Protocol of Incoming E-mail server (Account type). It can be POP3 or IMAP.
2) Port number.
3) If server requires an encrypted connection (SSL).
For outgoing E-mails you will need to know:
1) SMTP is a protocol for outgoing E-mail.
2) Port number.
3) Type of encrypted connection (TLS, SSL), if required.
4. E-mail setup
In order to setup anew E-mail account, please complete the following:
1. Start your MS Outlook E-mail client.
2. Open File Tab.
3. Select and clickInfo
4. Click Add Account button
5. Auto Account Setup
You may want to avoid auto account setup. Instead, please select manual setup.
1. In the appeared window select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
2. Then click Next button.
Choose Service
1. In the appeared Choose Servicewindow select Internet E-mail.
2. Then click Next button.
6. Internet E-mail settings
1. In the appeared Internet E-mail settings window fill in user information fields.
(a) Your Name – type in your name
(b) E-mail Address – type in your new e-mail address (e.g. name@yourdomain.com)
(c) Account Type – select from dropdown list type of your account (could be POP3 or IMAP) previously given to
you by hosting provider.
(d) Incoming mail server (POP3/IMAP) – type in incoming mail server specifications previously given to you by
hosting provider (e.g. pop.yourdomain.com for POP3 / imap.yourdomain.com for IMAP).
(e) Outgoing mail server (SMTP) – type in outgoing mail server specifications previously given to you by hosting
provider (e.g. smtp.yourdomain.com).
(f) User Name – type in your new e-mail address (e.g. name@yourdomain.com)
(g) Password – type in password. If you want the password being saved on the server, please check Remember
password box just below Password field.
(h) If you want to authenticate yourself and logon every time you start Outlook, please check Require logon using
Secure Password Authentication (SPA) box.
7. Additional settings
After User information, Server Information and Logon Information fields have been filled, please click More Settings
button.
In the appeared window provide specific information in the following tabs:
General
1) You may want to provide your organization by typing in its name in the corresponding field.
2) If you want to receive replies to another e-mail, please provide its address in the corresponding field.
8. Outgoing Server
1) If your e-mail outgoing server requires authentication (this information will be given by your hosting provider),
please check corresponding box.
2) If outgoing server uses the same settings as incoming server (this information will be given by your hosting
provider), then simply select correspondingradio button. Otherwise, if your SMTP server requires other settings
for authentication, please select Logon using, and provide required information.
Connection
You may want to specify type of your Internet Connection.
1) Please select from the list the type of your internet Connection.
9. Advanced
1) Provide incoming (POP3 or IMAP) and outgoing server (SMTP) ports numbers, as well as types of encrypted
connections (this information will be given by your hosting provider).
2) You may want to setup time for Server Timeouts using slider.
3) If you want your emails being saved to certain location in your computer, please provide Root folder path in
the corresponding field.
Finally click OK button.
10. SetupFinishing
After providing all setting information, please click Next button.
After you pressed Next button, the system will automatically test setting information and, if all the specifications were
entered correctly, the system will display Congratulations! window.
Please click Finish button.
Now you can start working with Outlook E-mail client.
