Business Journalists on their Pay  and Newsroom Hiring A  research study commissioned  by the Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication Arizona State University Survey conducted by Behavior Research Center July 18-21, 2011
                                                      INTRODUCTION This report was commissioned by the Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism and conducted by Behavior Research Center. Its purpose included asking business journalists about their pay and hiring in their newsrooms. Other than the median salary data, the information is based on 258 phone interviews with randomly selected business journalists throughout the United States. Interviews were conducted July 18-21, 2011. Total completed interviews in each media are as follows: ,[object Object]

 Online: 27The overall sampling error for this survey is +/- 5 percent at a 95 percent confidence interval. The median salaries are aggregated from 773 respondents in 2010 and 2011.
