2. Under Lok Suraaj Abhiyan, Agriculture and Water Resource
Minister Brijmohan Agrawal visited three different villages in
Naxal-affected areas of Gariaband district.
3. In village Seenapali, he sanctioned Rs 3.75 crore for road
construction another Rs 30 lakh for construction of road from
village Mungjhar to model school and for various other
development works.
4. Minister distributed free paddy seeds, sprayer pumps, corn
seed mini kits, agriculture equipments, residential lease,
tricycle etc to farmers of these villages.
5. Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh along with Agriculture Minister
Brijmohan Agrawal at village Barga in Rajnandgaon district as
a part of Lok Suraaj Abhiyaan.
6. National Crop Insurance Scheme was launched in
Rajnandgaon under which Rs 216 crore had been allocated to
be distributed to 1.38 lakh farmers in the State.
7. CM said that 86,000 quintal seeds will be distributed to 49,000
farmers. The short-term loans of 45,000 farmers in the district
had been converted into long-term loans.
8. The state had paid compensation of Rs 100 crore to about two
lakh farmers in the drought-affected areas of Rajnandgaon
district due to the failure of monsoon.
9. Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh along with Agriculture Minister
Brijmohan Agrawal distributing seeds to the farmers.
