To begin to think about variety of materials and innovative planning and design towards
creating a public art piece
Learning outcome:
All – To have discussed and created at least a few designs with some notes

Public art – is usually staged in a public domain that is accessible to everyone, in multiple media. It has a
significant impact in the space it being exhibited, the potential community involvement and collaboration.
Assessmentopportunities
Individual: Looking at own work and identifying own level and what progress needs to be made
Group: Discussion of work completed before and during the lesson, what is successful, which show the best
likeness, what has been learned?
Teacher: Continual verbal feedback throughout the lesson, grading after the lesson to be feedback to students
the following lesson
Differentiation
EAL:– check understanding of task on one-to-one basis at regular intervals throughout the lesson
G&T:– encourage more variety of idea development in line with previous works of art
SEN:– one-to-one discussion and exemplar demonstrations to clarify ideas and show examples for how the task
is to be completed
