Whereas, the Senate is the legislative body of the Student Government
that advocates on behalf of the student body, provides oversight to
the other branches, and allocates the budget.
Whereas, the Senate comprises a Speaker, a Clerk, a parliamentarian,
and 30 Senators, representing each class and school and the campus
at-large.
Whereas, the Senate meets almost every Sunday at 2:30pm in Kogod
118.
Whereas, the Senate considers bills and resolutions brought forth by
individual Senators and refined in one of the Senate’s committees.
Therefore, be it enacted that you run for a Senate seat this fall.
