  1. 1. Do you have an idea on how to improve your public services? + = Do you want to win the chance of getting people to turn your idea into reality?
  2. 2. Purpose of the Competition • We’re organising a competition to stimulate collaboration between public services, entrepreneurs and communities to develop innovative ways of using technology to improve their neighbourhoods
  3. 3. Phases of the Competition People will be able to submit and rate 16 September-16 October ideas online on how technology could help improve their neighbourhoods Groups will discuss and refine the highest 17 October-24 October rated ideas at “ideas workshops” Digital entrepreneurs will be able to 25 October-24 November submit and rate prototypes they want to develop that build on the top ideas on specific challenges (open data/CRM/etc) Digital entrepreneurs will develop their 25 November prototypes at a “hackday” with others to try and win the competition

Why sponsor/partner with us? • Associate your brand with a pioneering way of crowdsourcing ideas and prototyping innovations to meet practical local challenges • Engage with some of the county’s best innovators - community groups & social enterprises, service providers, students & universities, entrepreneurs & digital agencies • Promote your company at an event designed to stimulate digital innovation with the community • Network with the people responsible for ICT – our partners have a combined annual ICT budget exceeding £60m per year

  6. 6. What can you sponsor? Travel Bursary for an £100 entrepreneur to travel to the event to develop their prototype Lunch to keep the £500 participants creative juices flowing A Prize awarding the best £1000 prototype on the theme of your choice
  7. 7. Partners/Sponsors • You would have the opportunity to nominate a representative from your organisation to be a judge for the competition • You would be able to define the Challenge you wanted to sponsor or you could choose to sponsor our existing challenges (“Making use of open data” & “Reporting issues”)We would add your logo and organisation details in print and online literature of the event as well as in announcements on the day • As well as raising your profile at the event itself, your organisation will benefit from a range of pre- and post- event promotional activities: o Dedicated online presence o Briefings at various network meetings o Press releases and activities o Post event material
  8. 8. Invite your Host a workshop on Host a workshop to get members/staff to take one of the challenges your users to test the part in the competition prototypes Blog about the Volunteer to help competition organise the event
  9. 9. Supporters • We would add your logo and organisation details in print and online literature of the event as well as in announcements on the day • How else could we promote your organisation?
