This document describes renovations made to the former Federal Reserve building to create the National Audio Visual Conservation Center (NAVCC), which houses fragile historical film and audio collections. It discusses the original nitrate film vaults, camera negatives for films like "The Great Train Robbery," and how decaying film cans and temporary disk storage were replaced with more secure archival storage methods like data tape drives and a forest reclamation project on the facility's roof.
