(1,2,3,4) <ul><li>The topic for this lesson is global warming. </li></ul><ul><li>Each student will research on computer three possible causes for global warming. </li></ul><ul><li>Discuss in small groups your findings. </li></ul><ul><li>Based on your peers feedback choose one of your possible causes for global warming. </li></ul><ul><li>Complete research on selected topic. </li></ul><ul><li>Next class present your topic in form of either power point or poster board and discuss possible solutions to your global warming problem . </li></ul>Click on above picture to find out more
  3. 3. 4. Employ curriculum-specific simulations to practice critical-thinking processes. (1, 4) <ul><li>Students will be given 5 different scenarios of parents with different blood types </li></ul><ul><li>Based on the principle of codominance students will determine what possible blood types will offspring of each set of parents have </li></ul><ul><li>They will demonstrate their results on computer-created diagram </li></ul><ul><li>The diagram should include blood type genotype and phenotype of parents and offspring as well as genotype and phenotype ratio of offspring </li></ul><ul><li>As second part of this project create a table with two columns. </li></ul><ul><li>In first column write all the blood types donors </li></ul><ul><li>In second column write corresponding blood type recipients </li></ul>Click on above image
  4. 4. 3. Select digital tools or resources to use for a real-world task and justify the selection based on their efficiency and effectiveness. (3, 6) <ul><li>Using cell phones, digital cameras or regular cameras students will take minimum of 10 pictures. </li></ul><ul><li>These pictures will capture the environmental impact of human littering </li></ul><ul><li>Inspiration for these pictures can students take from their close environment </li></ul><ul><li>Students will upload or scan their images in the computer and create a 10-slides slide show </li></ul><ul><li>Include one slide with brief description on how littering effects the community and themselves </li></ul><ul><li>Include one slide with brief description on what can be done to eliminate or decrease littering around us. </li></ul>
  5. 5. 8. Model legal and ethical behaviors when using information and technology by properly selecting, acquiring, and citing resources. (3, 5) <ul><li>Students will be given a key word “recycling” </li></ul><ul><li>With the aid of computers, magazines, newspapers, books, public resources, interviews…etc students will be responsible to write 2 paragraphs about their findings. </li></ul><ul><li>Students will have to include 2 pictures with appropriate caption and citation </li></ul><ul><li>Students need to include reference list with at least 5 sources using APA format </li></ul><ul><li>One of the sources have to be an interview </li></ul><ul><li>Students must include quotes and paraphrases in </li></ul><ul><li>their paragraphs </li></ul>
