  2. 2. THE HOLY WEEKChristian or not, we all know that in late March or earlyApril comes a moment eagerly awaited by all the HolyWeek. For some it is an excuse to take time off, but formost it is a week where the Catholic faith is strengthenedand celebrated .Then find out what events are held during the seven daysof Holy Week.
  3. 3. PALM SUNDAYt is the first day of the week of festivitiesand one of the most important becausethis day represents the coming of Jesusto Jerusalem. The writings state thatJesus came riding on a donkey, a preludeto his Passion.
  4. 4. SAINT MONDAYs a crucial day, not so much in thecelebrations and liturgies, but its historicalsignificance. After spending the night atBethany, Jesus returns to Jerusalem andheads near the temple, but it is become amarket full of traders willing to dobusiness with them.

The story goes that as the day is done,three women go to the tomb where Jesus was buried and see that is nothis body. An angel tells them he has risen. They go where the Virginand the Apostles and give them the great news. Meanwhile, Peter andJohn run to the tomb and see the bandages on the floor.
