Red Blood Cells (RBC)<br />Function:<br /> They carry oxygen and live only for a few weeks.<br />Composition:<br /> It contains enzymes, minerals, sugars which give it energy to keep its shape.<br /><ul><li>It is packed with the protein HEMOGLOBIN which picks up oxygen in the lungs and transports it to all body tissues.</li></li></ul><li>Drawing of a RBC<br />
  4. 4. White Blood Cells (WBC)<br />FUNCTION:<br /> Attacks the germs by surrounding, eating, and digesting them.<br /> Produce antibodies which are chemicals that wipe out microorganisms wherever they may be in the body.<br />SIZE:<br /> WBCs are bigger than RBCs.<br />
