Step 1: Check Up <ul><li>Refer to Section 6.5 of the </li></ul><ul><li>Number Resource Policy </li></ul><ul><li>Manual on ARIN.net to </li></ul><ul><li>confirm that you qualify for </li></ul><ul><li>a direct IPv6 allocation. </li></ul><ul><li>If you don’t qualify, try requesting them from a LIR, like ZCorum. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Step 2: Show Up <ul><li>If you’ve never requested a direct allocation, you’ll need to register with ARIN. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Step 2: Show Up <ul><li>Create an ARIN Web Account </li></ul><ul><li>Create a POC Handle </li></ul><ul><li>While logged into your ARIN Account, create an ORG ID </li></ul><ul><li>If you are multi-homed, </li></ul><ul><li>request an Autonomous System Number (ASN) </li></ul>
  6. 6. Step 3: Fill Up <ul><li>Complete and submit the </li></ul><ul><li>IPv6 ISP Request </li></ul><ul><li>form. </li></ul><ul><li>ARIN will review your </li></ul><ul><li>request and approve it, or </li></ul><ul><li>contact you for more </li></ul><ul><li>information. </li></ul>

Step 4: Pay Up <ul><li>When your allocation </li></ul><ul><li>request is approved, pay the </li></ul><ul><li>fees and return your signed </li></ul><ul><li>Registration Services </li></ul><ul><li>Agreement. </li></ul><ul><li>ARIN will let you know when </li></ul><ul><li>your allocation is ready to </li></ul><ul><li>route. </li></ul>
