You Title visit three of the most famous art museums; The Metropolitan Museum, Introduction The Frick Collection, and The Museum of Modern Art. You see all the major famous works of art. A man in a trench coat comes up to you, he Task is a famous gallery coordinator. He wants you to take some of the most Process famous works of art and create a new collection for a gallery. Task • Next click add a new collection on the google art project. You can add full images of the work, as well as adding images of close ups or selections of the art. Process • The 5 works need to correlate in someway.- Genre, Style, Technique, Content.. Etc. • Using the following websites you will research the works you have chosen. Evaluation •http://www.moma.org/explore/collection/index Conclusion •http://www.frick.org/collection/index.htm •http://www.metmuseum.org/collections •http://www.googleartproject.com/ •http://www.wikipaintings.org/ 7. You will have written a paper with the information you researched and your opinions. 8. With your paper, in pairs you will present your gallery to the class, you will explain what you have written on the paper. Students will discuss and share opinions on the work. As a class we will also discuss different aspects of the paintings. 9. Lastly, each of you will create a work of art. It will be inspired by the main concept of your gallery. Content, technique.. Etc. 10. As a class we will use what we learned about the art history and different attributes for a group critique. Credits

If you read Title the first slides you will read exactly must be done to complete this project. As you read that you need to get into groups of two. Once your groups have formed Introduction you may begin exploring the Google Art Project site. We are only exploring the Learners three museums listed- The Met, The Frick, and MOMA. You may explore the other parts on your own time at home. There is good artwork and information to learn. Standards Once you have selected your 5 works of art, raise your hand for me to approve the Process art. Once you have had approval you may begin researching and evaluating to write your paper. You are writing one paper per group. Make sure you are both doing Resources equal work. You may have one person be a scribe while you both discuss. Evaluation When presenting your gallery I don’t want you to read off the paper you wrote. Use that as a guide to your presentation. You and your partner decide what you want toTeacher Script say. Conclusion When it comes to creating art, you each will be doing your own. All the work in the museums are primarily paintings, so you all will be painting.
