  3. 3. Who was Van Gogh?<br />Poor and unpopular artist in his time.<br />Born in a Dutch village on March 30, 1853. He had 6 siblings<br />The most known sibling of van Gogh is Theo van Gogh born 4 years after in the year 1857.<br />
  4. 4. What did He do?<br />His first jobs were as an art dealer, a teacher, a book seller, and a preacher like his father. <br />Non of the jobs satisfied him so he became an artist.<br /> His first paintings were of poor people and miners he lived near.<br />

  7. 7. How we knew about Van Gogh?<br />From his brother Theo, who was an art dealer.<br />In seventeen years he wrote over 800 letters to his family and friends. Most of them were written to his brother. <br />Theo faithfully preserved the letters he received from Vincent. He recognized his brother's talent, encouraged him, and supported him financially.<br />
