  2. 2. I. Affixes An Affix is a morpheme added to a word to change its function or meaning. There are three basic ways to do this: prefix, infix, suffix.

  15. 15. IV. Homonyms a word pronounced the same as another but differing in meaning, whether spelled the same way or not. Examples: ad-add suite-sweet pane-pain
