1978- 70 bed free hospital was open to provide poor with quality care.

In 2004 ARAVIND EYE CARE SYSTEM started providing eye care facility at Madurai,Theni,Tirunelveli,Coimbatore and Pondicherry.

Recognized as world’s most productive eye hospital handling the largest patient volume.</li></li></ul><li>FACTS-<br /><ul><li>More than 20 million blind people in India and only 4 million surgeries are performed every year.
