  5. 5. Prepare for Lord of the Flies project and test</li></ul>Pre-AP Homework Due: Friday, 8/28/09<br /><ul><li>Bring 2 objects per person and/or pictures that represent a character from Lord of the Flies
  6. 6. Bring 2 quotes per person that support your claim about the character
  7. 7. Ralph, Jack, Simon, Piggy, Roger, all other characters</li></li></ul><li>WRITER’S NOTEBOOK<br />Take 5-10 minutes to silently write about the 3 objects that you brought today<br /> Things you might write about…<br />What is important about the object?<br />What stories do you have about the object? How did you get it? What have you been through with it?<br />What does the object say about you as a person?<br />
  8. 8. Present 3 Objects<br />Expectations<br />When you present, talk loudly and clearly.<br />When someone is presenting, listen respectfully.<br />When the presentation is finished, clap.<br />Hold up your name tag and I will take a picture.<br />
  9. 9. PRE-AP Work<br />Mr. Young will make groups and assign a character from LOTF to each group. Ralph, Piggy, Simon, Jack, Roger, Others<br />The group must write down 2 adjectives (character traits) per member that describe the character from LOTF. So if you have 5 members your group will find 10 traits.<br />Each trait will be accompanied with a quote from LOTF.<br />The group must find a creative representation (picture, object, etc.) that represents the character trait.<br />Homework- Bring the representation with you on Monday.<br />On Monday, we will build a poster/shrine for each of the characters. Your group will explain why you chose the objects and quotes that you chose.<br />
