  • Different people have different opinions.
  • SWOT analysis is a strategic planning method used to evaluate the S trengths, W eaknesses, O pportunities, and T hreats involved in a project or in a business venture.
  • Strengths Nothing is perfect, so is the FTCs. They also have weakness. Here, let us think a minute, why the FTCs are so popular and charming with people, what’s the reason.
  • FTCs( first-tier cities) _Coastal cities vs. Inland cities Shanghai has became less and less competitive because of the expensive living cost, making it less attractive to talents.
  • Beijing hold the 2008 Summer Olympic Games . Guangzhou Asian Games
  • Beijing's average commercial housing price near 20,000 yuan/sqm in December in 2009 16:30, January 06, 2010       胶囊屋: capsule house
  • Heavy traffic becomes a big problem in those FTCs, like Beijing.
  • Many people focus on STCs and would like to choose them to invest or live. The New York Times(By Jim Yardley,Published: Saturday, October 21, 2006) reported :Ambitious second-tier cities grapple for resources along China's Yellow River People’Daily Online (March 22, 2010 )wrote:Second-tier cities in the Yangtze River Delta, middle and western China regions became hot for job-seekers. Global times( April 01 2010 )said:Property developers aim for China's second-tier city markets Second-tier cities hold first-class opportunities.
  • The STC will have what the large cities have, and have more of it (responsive government, labor growth), enough of it (transportation infrastructure, financial services), and less of it (congestion, housing costs) in a mix that makes them especially attractive. The fundamental value proposition of STCs for locating companies is the right size at the right cost. Lower CPI than FTCs. consumer price index (CPI) is a measure estimating the average price of consumer goods and services purchased by households. Less time in commuting, More time to share with family. Living and working space are larger . there are more resources: food, energy , Most importantly, human resources ( has a substantial population and available, quality workforce )… So we can see that why SCTs are so attractive?
  • find their fortune
  • How to choose? Live In for us , which kind of city is a better choice? make up your mind?
  • Is there any Question? 1.Which kind of city would you like to choose? In my opinion, I would like to work in FTCs, but I had to buy a house in the STCs. You can see it’s a big contradiction, it like Fish and Bear’s paw, you cannot have the both at the same time. So I would choose the FTCs when I am young, and After getting older, I would like to move to the STCs to enjoy my life.
