  1. 1. Intermediate ASM IDEALmold TSDP 1Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  2. 2. Machine Description (Information) TSDP General Description Information:- • is used to obtain information that is captured by the system. The following information can be obtained:- • Event Log - series if events taken place in the machine during auto run including machine warnings and errors, in chronological order. • MIS Display - information about the product that is being processed in the machine and measurements of machine performance. • Temperature - real time temperature reading as measured by the thermocouples in the Turn Table and Mould Chase for example. • State Chart - real time state (active/inactive) of each module and their sub modules. 2Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  3. 3. Machine Description (Information) TSDP General Description (cont.) • Debug Log - time-based log of hardware changes, commands/event executing and completed to facilitate the debugging. The log is password protected and accessed only by ASM service personnel. • MIS Display - real time input-output (IO) state from the sensor and solenoid IO port. • About - information about the system software version number, year of issue and the machine configuration. 3Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  4. 4. Machine Description (Information) TSDP Information (Event Log) The Event Log page appears when is pressed. 4Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  5. 5. Machine Description (Information) TSDP Information (Event Log) (cont.) Saves the displayed Event Log page as an image file (GIF, BIP or JPEG) into a storage media (e.g. diskette). Erases the entire Event Log data. This command is password protected. Key in password when this virtual keyboard appears on screen Displays the top ten Configure your top ten events here events in descending order. You can also configure the top ten events of your choice here. 5Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  6. 6. Machine Description (Diagnostics) TSDP Information (Event Log) (cont.) Prints the Event Log to a printer (note: a printer must first be connected). Saves the entire Event Log in selected filter option into a storage media. Saves the Top Ten Event Log in selected filter option into a storage media. Captures events according to the date and level selected. Displays the events in Pareto Chart form. 6Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  7. 7. Machine Description (Information) TSDP Information (Event Log) (cont.) Event identification Date, time and Event classification Event level (e.g. number given for location of the (e.g. Operation, Warning, Minor each captured described event Event, Warning, Warning, Major event. occurrence as well Error). Warning, Fatal as its code. Warning). 7Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  8. 8. Machine Description (Information) TSDP Information (Event Log) (cont.) Scroll up one page. Scroll up one event. Scroll down one event. Scroll up one page. 8Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  9. 9. Machine Description (Information) TSDP Information (MIS Display) The MIS Display information is in minutes. The machine performance measurement may differ from our method of measurement. For example, the MTBF measurement here is based on machine errors that are not resolved within 6 minutes. Our measurement is machine breakdown that requires assistance by technicians. 9Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  10. 10. Machine Description (Information) TSDP Information (MIS Display) (cont.) Product currently processed by the machine Start time and date when measurements are taken Number of machine errors assisted within 6 minutes Number of machine errors assisted beyond 6 minutes Total time available after the last reset Total time machine is in auto run mode Mean Time Between Assists = Total Productive Time / Assists Mean Time Between Failures = Total Productive Time / Failures 10Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  11. 11. Machine Description (Information) TSDP Information (MIS Display) (cont.) Total time of all productive time, non- productive time, dry cycle runs, melamine cleaning and idle time Total time of all error stoppages and all machine stoppages Number of operation cycles within Total Productive Time Number of units per lead frame x number of lead frames per shot x Total Product Cycles Total Units Output / Total Productive Time Total Productive Time / Total Equipment Time Resets to start with a new time and date 11Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  12. 12. Machine Description (Information) TSDP Information (Temperature) The temperature is feedbacked by the temperature controller to the PC and displayed on the monitor. The frequency of the feedback is programmed by ASM, so there will be a time lag between the temperature that is is detected by the thermocouple and that is displayed on the screen. All modules and sub-modules like the Turn Table and Mould Chases that use heating elements with their temperatures monitored by the system will have their temperatures displayed here. 12Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  13. 13. Machine Description (Information) TSDP Information (IO Port State) The IO Port State displays all the sensors and solenoids input- output ports active/inactive states. This is important when we want to find out whether the input devices are working properly when we troubleshoot the machine. Green means active while red means inactive. 13Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
  14. 14. Machine Description (Information) TSDP Information (About) The information in About allows the user to find out whether the system is using the latest software version. ASM provides software upgrade from time to time (when they have made some improvements in the system or the software). It is also accessed to find out the machine configuration of the system like whether it is using magazines for input and output, whether vision systems are used and at which location, the number of presses in the system, etc. 14Carsem Confidential A member of the Hong Leong Group
