Workforce The Yarra Energy Foundation TYR Centre and initiative goal is to address the workforce development gap created by current and future skills shortages in Yarra in generic and technical sustainability skills for sustainable development. Mission Statement The goal of this project is to assist the Yarra Energy Foundation in the implementation of the Total Yarra Retrofit by determining and evaluating the skills required of a workforce for the initiative.
Deliverables Recommendations for the skills the workforce needs Assess the readiness for the Yarra Energy Foundation for completing the Total Yarra Retrofit.

Potential Questions Are you aware of the Yarra Energy Foundation and it’s goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2020? Ifso, “Are you aware of The Total Yarra Retrofit program?” What skills would you like to have in order to work at a job connected to these retrofits?
Objective 2 Identify and assess the skills hiring organizations feel are necessary in order for the workers to perform the retrofits. Data Gathering Interviews Focus Groups Sample Hiring Organizations Data Analysis Evaluation
Potential Questions Would you be interested in your organization being involved in this retrofit program? Explain. What skills would you like future employees to have? Do you provide any training program? If so, “Would you be willing to modify it?” If not, “Would you be willing to institute one?” Are there any other factors that you feel need to be address for a workforce to be utilize?
