Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
Functional characterization of microRNAs (miRNAs) contributing to a phenotype of resistance o
susceptibility to pathogen infection in plants, and biological processes under miRNA regulation
involved in plant adaptation to infection conditions. These studies will be carried out in rice and
Arabidopsis plants, the two model systems used for functional genomic studies in
monocotyledoneous and dicotyledoneous plant species, in the framework of the project entitled
“Regulatory roles of microRNAs in plant innate immunity (BIO2012-32838)”
Laboratory: Dr. Blanca San Segundo
Educational requirements:
Master in Biotechnology or equivalent
Qualifications:
Experience in molecular biology and bioinformatics
Required Skills:
English
