How did The Fuse Factory get started? <ul><li>The idea came to me while working on dissertation </li></ul><ul><li>Exposed to organizations such as Eyebeam (NY), Glowlab (MA), The Crucible (CA), 911 Media Arts Center (WA), Pittsburgh Filmmakers (PA) </li></ul><ul><li>Columbus needs this!!! </li></ul>

The Fuse Factory is born <ul><li>Dec 2006: recruited a handful of friends to join the board of directors </li></ul><ul><li>Hammered out name, mission statement, Articles of Incorporation, and bylaws </li></ul><ul><li>Registered as a nonprofit organization with the State of Ohio in Feb. 2007 </li></ul>
  4. 4. The Fuse Factory Startup Phase <ul><li>Moved to Columbus in 2007 and began recruiting more board members and volunteers (generally contacting people out of the clear blue) </li></ul><ul><li>Our very first event: Ignition! </li></ul><ul><li>Began planning in January 2008 </li></ul>
