  2. 2. Objective:• SWBAT summarize the debate between the founders regarding slavery * by analyzing an article written about the promises made by the American Revolution
  3. 3. Homework:• What would you have said to Washington about slavery? Imagine you were a founder. How would you discuss it with this man?
  4. 4. Vocabulary:• Manumission• Giving slaves their freedom• Different from allowing slaves to buy their freedom
